Beyoğlu, Şişhane, Çukurcuma

These neighborhoods not only lay on the other side of the Golden Horn, but also are on “the other” side of the culture of the city. IThe area remains as lively as ever with its museums, art institutions, numerous late-night restaurants, live music venues and after-hours clubs. Right in the middle of İstiklal Caddesi, you can find historic Flower Passage and further down the Fish Market. Strolling down towards the Bosphorus, it’s easy to get lost in Çukurcuma home to local designers, antique stores, vintage shops and record stores. Nobel Prize laureate Orhan Pamuk established his Museum of Innocence in the district’s steep streets, mirroring the atmosphere of the area. Don’t miss the heavens of Alaturca House, Hikmet Mizanoğlu, Ayşe Orberk and Aslı Günşiray stores for antique shopping. Chez-Bo is a store with rainbow colored bohemian dresses for beach and lovely summer nights and the stars.
